Common Myths About Auto Paint Polishing- Debunked

  • Myth 1: I can have my paint corrected as frequently as it is detailed

We sing the praises of paint correction for vehicles of all different makes, models, and ages; however, we want to KEEP your automobile completely perfected after your first and hopefully ONLY paint correction appointment. Paint correction involves lightly abrading away a microscopic level of clear coat to remove defects and stains, which means there is a limit on how many times it can be done.

  • Myth 2: New automobiles do not have swirls or scratches

New vehicles are deceiving. Many get so caught up in the excitement of purchasing a brand new car, truck, or SUV that they wrongfully assume that it has never once been touched by another would-be buyer. While sitting on a dealership lot, many vehicles face light scrapes, stains from environmental contamination, and abrasive drying from dealership employees that leave behind a myriad of swirls and micro-scratches. Each of these can be fixed, and your paint gloss enhanced, with our help.

  • Myth 3: Classic cars are NOT eligible for paint correction

ALL automobiles are eligible for professional paint correction from our team here at Northern Lights Home & Auto Coatings - period. The only real reason we may evaluate and turn away any given car, truck, or SUV is if it has body damage or issues that have broken through the clear coat, as our paint correction services focus solely on eliminating swirls, scrapes, and oxidation in a vehicle’s clear coat. Classic cars are certainly welcome provided they fit this criteria!

Bring Back the Flawless Finish

Is Paint Correction Right for You?

Wondering Why You Should Have Your Paint Corrected?

  • You Are Having a Graphene Coating Installed

Every customer that hires our graphene coating installation specialists to apply these hydrophobic, gloss-enhancing surface protectants to their car, truck, or SUV must first go through professional paint correction. The benefit of paint correction preceding graphene coating is that we ensure no defects or discrepancies will be highlighted or sealed in place by our profoundly glossy graphene coating packages.

  • You Purchased a Used Vehicle

Contrary to correcting the finish of a new automobile, used vehicles should be corrected by our professional mobile paint correction crew here at Northern Lights Home & Auto Coatings! The likelihood of your new ride having swirls, etching from acid rain, stains from tree sap and bird droppings, and a variety of other surface defects is pretty high, and by correcting the entirety of your exterior’s finish surfaces, we ensure the elimination of ANYTHING that is not becoming of your ride.

  • You Are Searching for Higher Paint Shine

The function of automotive paint correction does not rest solely in defect removal alone. As evidenced in the paint correction of NEW automobiles here in Georgia, paint correction takes on the name of ‘paint enhancement’, as light buffing and polishing remove any flat haze that an otherwise pristine automobile has on its clear coat, creating depth, richness of color, clarity, and other notable aesthetic improvements that are often missed.
